Abby had her 6 month check up today. She did great! She even showed the dr. her raspberries!! She was so into her raspberries that she didn''t even react to her first shot! What a good girl. Abby is growing so much. It seems like daily we are saying "she looks different today". The doctor told us that we should start thinking about "baby proofing" the house because as soon as they start rolling more and crawling they get into everything!! I can''t believe were are already to that point. Abby is trying very hard to sit on her own for more than a few seconds. She is sooo close! We love all of these milestones. Check the stats for her most recent weight and height.
Abby is 6 months tomorrow!! Mike and I just can''t believe how fast the time has gone. We have cherished every moment. It is so amazing all of the things that Abby has learned in just a short 6 months.
Abby is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries and when she does it is because she is really hungry or really tired... Otherwise, she is happy with smiles most of the time. She thinks her mommy and daddy are the funniest people ever (I don''t mind that!)
We had professional pictures done today as well, but I thought I would take some of my own (see front page). I didn''t get a chance to put her in this dress for the professional pictures. They do them in like 10 minutes (I didn''t know that, this is the first time we went professional), so we could only do one pose!! We should be getting the pictures by the end of the month, so I will post if I can.
Her favorite toys right now are her exer-saucer and her jumparoo (she figured it out!). She loves to grab her toes and roll over onto her tummy, but she hasn''t quite figured out how to get back onto her back. She is almost sitting up by herself. She tries to push back after 10-15 seconds, so we still use ourselves or pillows to keep her safe.
Abby is starting to love her veggies (squash, sweet potatoes and carrots so far) and of course still liking the cereal. She starts cereal in the morning with Corey (her day care provider). What a big girl!
A new thing that Abby is doing...If you ask her a question, she shakes her head "no". She must have picked this up at day care.
Our hearts grow bigger and bigger each day with the love that grows for our daughter....
We sure are enjoying the fall. I added a Fall 2006 album (more to come I promise!!)
New pictures in the "first foods" album. Abby tried carrots for the first time on Friday...she isn''t quite sure about them yet!
I also added a new pictures in family ties of Abby and her cousin''s Ashley and Alex. Too cute!
I am having trouble downloading pictures.... so stay tuned...
We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend with the Buxy''s and the Paulmier''s. Abby had fun, especially with the animals at the petting zoo. She is still a little too young for the real fun, but Grant and Ava had a lot of fun!!
We got a little pumpkin for our little pumpkin. We hope to take some good pictures next weekend with her and the pumpkin and some fall leaf pictures because we didn''t get a chance to this weekend.
Abby is doing great! She is trying to sit up on her own now, but only for a very short period of time. She will get it soon....it is funny because babies seem to wake up one day and just know how to do things. Her new noises are Ba,ba, ba and Ma,ma,ma. I think she is saying bottle and mama, but Mike thinks I am aiming a little high!!
I can''t believe it is October already and Abby will be 6 months in a couple of weeks. We have professional pictures scheduled for the middle of the month. We are taking an infant massage class starting next week for 8 weeks. It should be fun. A good way to meet other parents.
