Well, I am returning to work in less than two weeks....I am looking forward to it, yet I am sad to leave my little girl:(
We are going to her day care provider''s tomorrow for a visit during circle time so the other kids can meet her. Then next week she will go a half day on Thursday and a full day on Friday while I am still at home, and full time starting Monday (I go back to work). Time has flown past, but I am very greatful that I was able to spend the first almost 4 months of Abby''s life with her.
We went to Duluth last week while Mike worked and had our first overnight in a place other than home. She did really well. She slept the best she ever has (9 hours straight one night). Now, on average she is sleeping 6-7 hours consecutively at night. I usually get about 4-5 hours because of course I have to stay up until at least 10:00. When I go back to work, Mike and I will take turns on the one time per night feeding until she sleeps totally through the night. This way at least we are getting some good solid sleep.
Abby is doing so well. She is now eating 6 oz. per feeding. We are going to try rice cereal at the end of August and see how she does with it. It doesn''t hurt to start introducing, it may or may not work right away. That is why they say start between 4 and 6 months because they might not get it for a couple of months. Abby is starting to roll over onto her left side (we are working on the right). On her tummy with assistance getting up on her arms she is lifting her neck almost 90 degrees by herself. We have been working hard on getting her neck nice and strong and playing while we are at it!!
