As most of you know, my dad is building a beautiful crib for our little girl. It all started by that being how we told my parents that we are having a baby. I printed off a picture of a crib and brought it to my parents house. As Mike and my mom were talking, I brought out the picture and said to dad "hey dad, I have this really cool woodworking project that you should check out" I handed him the picture and he looks at it for a bit and says "so, do you want this in maple like in the picture?" and then said "so when do I need to get this done by?" If you knew my dad you would be laughing! Anyway, mom over heard all that was going on and they both figured out that they are going to be grandparents (hugs and kisses all around). I then told my dad that I was serious about him building the crib. I looked at numerous plans and found one. He ordered the plans, but they aren''t as detailed as I thought, but he has been working with them and it is looking better than I even imagined!! Grandpa, thank you for building this wonderful heirloom for your granddaughter. All of your time and hardwork will be a lasting reminder of how much you love your granddaughter. We have history and a story to share for generations to come.
What a fun time we had for Christensen Christmas! Our unborn child is already very spoiled by her grandparents and her aunts and uncle. She received a "who loves me" book where we can put pictures of family and friends in it to show our precious girl who loves her.
The outfits that she got were super cute ("Daddy''s Little Girl") from grandma and grandpa was the best!
Your grandma got to feel her kick for the first time, but you were being pretty quiet all weekend. Mommy was definitely tired, so she probably was too.
Today is our 3 year anniversary and Mike surprised me with flowers!! We love each other more every day and can''t wait to share our love with our sweetie pie.
This weekend grandma and grandpa Zolad are coming up to help paint the nursery. Daddy got the room all primed last night so we are ready to get started. Hopefully, we will be able to upload pictures on this website to show people the nursery when it is finished.
